Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen and Marines receive advanced training at the schoolhouse, only to spend years away from the systems they were taught to maintain. Simplified Intelligent Augmented Reality (SIA) is an on-demand augmented reality maintenance training and job aid designed to minimize skill decay and ensure proficiency for aircraft maintenance technicians. Currently for the F/A-18 Super Hornet and V-22 Osprey, this cross-platform Extended Reality (XR) Navy training system delivers expert knowledge to maintainers on diagnostic and repair procedures at the point of need. Advanced training technology enables customizable training for each user through real-time human performance assessment feedback.
